Intermediate Clay Course - (6 Sessions)
- $360.00
Dive deeper into hand-built pottery with this 6-session intermediate course, where young artists will master three exciting techniques: Coiling, Slab-building, and Hollowing – and create 5 painted pottery masterpieces to take home!
What You’ll Learn:
- Coiling (traditional): Use long, circular clay rolls stacked in rings to make bowls and cups.*
- Slab-building: Roll flat clay slabs, cut to shape, and join to create defined, angular pieces (e.g., pencil holder).*
- Hollowing: Create custom, irregular or shaped boxes (e.g., heart, pyramid) by hollowing out forms.
The fee includes basic clay, glazes and two firing processes. The course must be completed within 3 months from start date.
*Important note: Due before collection to our batch firing process, bisque firing takes approximately 2 weeks, and glaze firing takes 4–6 weeks. This ensures pieces are fired safely and to a high standard!
